A breathtaking 12-century fortified castle, the Chateau de la Harpe is a truly unique opportunity to discover an authentic marvel of rural French architecture while enjoying some of the country’s most striking landscapes.

Capable of sleeping 50 guests across 25 bedrooms, this vast chateau is situated on the border of Drôme and Provence, 80 minutes north of Montpellier and Marseille and midway between Orange and Vaison-La-Romaine. With the Luberon to the east and both Mt Ventoux and the Ardèche gorges within 50 km, it enjoys an enviable position in one of France's most desirable locations.

All the chateau's 25 sublime bedrooms have delectable ensuite bathrooms and refined decor incorporating classical touches and traditional furnishings. Three rooms are fitted with California king-size beds, one with a large king-size bed, ten with king-size beds, five with queen-size beds and six with double beds. Most king-size beds can be swapped out for two singles if required.

The extravagant and lavishly decorated dining room can seat up to 90 guests, with space for 130 in the courtyard. Meals are served in the excellent onsite gastronomic restaurant, while brunch and chef services are available on request and at additional cost. Guests can relax and unwind in several spectacular social spaces, including the music room, the library, the reception room, the cloister and the main lounge, which features an enticing fireplace.

The Chateau de la Harpe includes a peaceful wellness area, an outdoor pool and a tennis court, ensuring there is plenty to keep more active guests busy. Table tennis, a pool table and a petanque court also allow for a little friendly competition. Covering 12 hectares, the wonderful gardens are home to deer and other wildlife, making them a joy to explore.
