Close to the villa is the pretty village of Eygalières. This is one of those wonderful Medieval villages that seem to have grown organically out of the landscape, with honey-coloured stone buildings and warm red terracotta roofs. It’s also home to some of the best bistros in the district, including the renowned Bistro D’Eygalieres and the welcoming Le Petit Bru. This is the place to taste authentic Provence cuisine, accompanied by the light, fruity wines of the region. This part of the country is a must for fine food and wine connoisseurs or those who want to experience the richness of Provençal life.

Mas de l’Ange is a masterpiece of sympathetic traditional conservation and modern design. Guests are encouraged to spend as much time outdoors as possible, with the wisteria-covered al fresco dining area and outdoor lounge areas offering sunny spots and dappled shade. Inside, the flagstones and exposed beams take centre stage in the living and dining rooms, while the kitchen is a fusion of old and new, with state-of-the-art appliances. A games room houses a full-size pool table. Outside, there is a tennis court tucked away in the pinewood forest and a large heated swimming pool for those early-morning dips.

The villa is family-friendly, and the layout of the bedrooms reflects this. In the main villa, the first bedroom is on the ground floor. Sumptuously furnished, it has a king-size bed and direct access to the garden, as well as an ensuite bathroom. Four bedrooms occupy the upper level. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, and a second bedroom also offers a cosy king-size bed and access to the courtyard. It shares a bathroom with bedroom three, which is an ideal children's room with two bunk beds for up to four children. A further bedroom has two single beds for older teens or children.

The guest houses offer a total of three more bedrooms, with a king-size and a bedroom with two single beds in one cottage and a delightful four-poster queen-size bed in the smaller cottage.
