The Shooting Star Cabins are barn-like homes clad in beautiful reclaimed wood. Windowed gables rise from the roof like the soaring mountains all around; the many alcoves, planes and mullioned windows make the homes look like traditional homesteads. Wide stone terrace extends from the back of each home revealing the open valley or the Snake River Range. In winter, the expanse is an enormous canvas of white; while in summer, the vivid rolling greens and waterways of the Tom Fazio designed golf course unveil themselves.
The Shooting Star Cabins are homes of great style and warmth; airy, high-ceilinged rooms are brought to earth with walls of cut stone and elegant, comfortable furnishings. Each home reveals a slightly different style, whether it's buttery soft leather, or hand-built, rustic furniture and fine art to heighten the classic, Great Camp atmosphere.
No matter which floor plan you select, the living, dining and cooking areas share a single, lofty space, the cabins heart, where wide windows hold Wyoming panoramas to rival any postcard. A handsome, wood-burning fireplace throws out great heat and light; hammered iron doors can be closed or left ajar, as needed. To sit beside the fire and watch the slow spread of sun across the peaks is to overhear the endless, rapturous conversation between earth and sky.
The kitchen in each Shooting Star Cabin is unique, but in each, the ceiling drops with scoured beams, creating a sense of cozy containment though the kitchen is in reality quite capacious, with plenty of stone countertop, a big Wolf range, a center island with a prep sink, a wine cooler, a Sub-Zero refrigeration system and a sandwich bar. Well-stocked with quality china, glassware and flatware, each Shooting Star Cabin is an unbeatable place in which to throw a dinner party whether endowed by gourmet private chef or the talents of the family cook.
No matter which home you choose, each Shooting Star Cabin is a classic; an elegant, confident home with the look of a 19th Century homestead added on to over decades. Weathered wood siding, mullioned windows and the circle of towering mountain peaks all around it add to the timeless effect. Inside, layers of detail create richness and structure: old and new, modern and traditional are gathered together in a peaceful, cohesive whole.
During select seasons and in special circumstances, some cabins may be configured as two bedroom homes. We would be delighted to tell you more; please contact one of our reservationists.
