From its framed oil paintings to its polished antiques, Tynemouth Street is a traditional home. To the right of the entrance hall, a piano and shelves of hardback books offer old-fashioned pleasures in the sitting room, or straight ahead is the kitchen. Its cabinets are a modern olive green, and the dining table in the adjacent dining room is polished to a period shine.

Step outside for the decked garden, or head up the staircase in the hallway. Directly ahead is the single bedroom, with an ensuite. The double, with a wrought-iron bedstead, is on the next floor up, and at the very top is the master. It’s both contemporary and traditional, with skylights, a white-walled ensuite and a framed collection of antique artwork.

Home truths

The fireplace in the sitting room is purely decorative.

This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.

The second sitting room has a double sofabed which can sleep two additional guests, and the third bedroom has a single sofabed which can sleep one extra guest. Please let us know if you'd like these set up for your stay.

There's no hanging space in the master and third bedrooms, so we'll set up collapsible hanging rails for your stay.

Since our photoshoot the third bedroom now has a small double bed in. It can sleep two but is more comfortable for one.

This home is spread over three floors with no internal elevator.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
