The finer things

From the golf course garden to the wood-beamed sitting room, Vanbrugh Road is wholly first-rate. The elegant entrance hall leads straight to the sitting room – a traditional space where plump seats encircle a tiled fireplace. You’ll then come to the open-plan living area. At the near end is the kitchen, which is classic, but for its cool sunken wine cellar. And at the far end there’s a dining table (set beside an orange velvet bench) and a sleeker second sitting area with a flatscreen television. From there, patio doors lead out to the garden.

Up on the first floor, you’ll find the main bathroom, the vibrantly decorated second and third bedrooms and the master bedroom – simpler, with a few well-chosen antiques and a stylish ensuite. Above that there’s another bathroom, the sport-themed fourth bedroom and, tucked under the eaves, a cinema room full of snug seats.

Home truths

There is a small double bed in the fourth bedroom. It can sleep two people, but is more comfortable for one.

There is a temporary bed in the cinema room which can be set up for one. Please let us know when you book if you would like it prepared.

This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.

There is no wardrobe in the master bedroom so we will provide a hanging rail for storage.

This home has a toilet room which is not pictured. We'll be taking photographs soon.

The homeowner's cleaner will visit on Monday mornings at 10am for about an hour.

This home is spread over three floors with no internal elevator.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
