High production values Your hostess is a TV producer with a love of everything vintage. When she’s not scanning the stalls at Golborne and Portobello Road markets for antique tiles, she is enjoying a bite at The Dock Kitchen or winding down in her serene living room. The simple life A flight of wooden steps takes you up to Wakeman Road. Once inside, you’ll want to kick off your shoes in the spacious sitting room, where the antique furniture has been carefully curated for maximum beauty. The large and rustic eat in kitchen has a definite lofty feel, with herbs on the windowsill and an eclectic collection of crockery. When you’re ready, head along the corridor to bed. The bathroom’s full of White Company toiletries, and after a good pampering, you’ll find yourself in the delicate duck-egg blue bedroom. Here, the lighting’s low, the sheets, soft. Lie back on the double bed and dream the sweetest of dreams. Finders keepers If you want to take home a quirky souvenir, or four, then you’re just a short bus ride from Notting Hill’s Portobello Road Market. Closer to home, you’ve all sorts of independent florists, boutiques and cafes to explore, and, as far as restaurants and gastropubs go, you’re spoiled for choice. And if you want to head into town, the tube can have you emerging onto Oxford Circus in just twenty minutes.

Home truths

  • This beautiful home has a very minimal interior, so provides guests with limited storage space.

  • An adorable dog usually resides here so this home is not suitable for people with allergies.

  • This is the perfect space for a couple but not for suitable for children aged 1-12, although babies are welcome.

  • This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.

  • There are stairs up to the entrance, and no elevator.
