Villa Hamsa rests within the two-villa Sohamsa Ocean Estate right on the edge of the Bukit peninsula, a limestone plateau on the southernmost tip of Bali. It shares the same sweeping ocean views with a small community of top-end villas hugging the cliff edge. A five-minute drive from the villa is Pandawa Beach where shallow turquoise waters lap the expanse of white sand lined with warungs (local eateries) – perfect for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking. Though semi-remote and delightfully unspoilt, there's plenty to do and see within a half-hour drive: Uluwatu's sacred sea temple, Bali's most famous surf breaks, some chic beach clubs, and the restaurants of Jimbaran Bay and Nusa Dua… and the airport is not much further.
