Among the world’s most famous addresses, Sir Richard Branson’s private island can be rented privately for groups of up to 48 guests combining balconied bedrooms in the central Great House (some bunked and toy-filled with children in mind), a Jacuzzi-boasting master suite and six beautiful, bijou Balinese pavilions scattered about.

On the main island, guests will have seven king-size bedrooms, 17 bedrooms which can come with king-size beds or twin beds and three bunk beds at their disposal. Even larger parties can also take over nearby Moskito Island (sleeping 22), where individual rooms are offered during set ‘Individual Stay’ weeks

Paradise awaits. The 74-acre isle is encircled by white sand beaches and vibrant coral reefs. Along its Main Beach, watersports such as kitesurfing, sailing, diving and paddleboarding are available; elsewhere, visitors can exercise in a gym, take Aromatherapy Associates spa treatments, attend sunset yoga or Pilates classes, play tennis, undertake helicopter and deep-sea fishing excursions or arrange guided walks in search of lemurs and flamingoes. Boredom? Not a chance.

Also Balinese in style, the focal Great House combines its bedrooms with a roof-terrace dining space affording wondrous sea views. Meals may also be taken at a sushi bar beside the infinity-style swimming pool or beachside, with the cuisine changing daily. All the while, thoughtful measures, such as renewable energy sources, and biofuel golf buggies reduce Necker’s eco-footprint.
