While every contemporary villa on this hillside enclave is scenic, Villa Raquel’s position yields extra-special sea views – across the Gulf of Thailand to leafy Ko Mat Lang island. All four spacious bedrooms are perfectly positioned to enjoy the scenery, along with rainfall showers. Open-air on one side, the stylish, straight-lined living and dining area has them. The restful outdoor lounge has them. The roof terrace, suiting sunbathing or barbecues, has them. And, appearing almost to flow into the ocean, the oversized saltwater infinity pool most definitely has them.

Swathed by a cascade of tropical plants, the three-floor villa affords numerous other perks. Two of those bedrooms boast additional gardens; another has an outdoor bathtub. There are dedicated TV and games rooms, the latter with ping pong and pool tables, plus a secluded yoga platform.

A full team of live-in staff will be at your every beck and call, including a talented chef. Continental breakfasts are complimentary, while other meals can be ordered from his daily menus whenever you desire and served wherever you desire.

Just a saunter away is the sandy Choeng Mon Beach, bordered by bars, boutiques and seafood shacks. The longer Chaweng and Bophut Beaches are close by, as are jungly zip-line rides and waterfall hikes – outings to which your staff can arrange. Ditto massages or cooking classes, or sessions on Samujana’s shared tennis court – floodlit at night. Your board includes airport transfers.
