Five-bedroom Villa Gauguin is an elegant symphony in glass, with most of the contemporary villa's walls lined with floor-to-ceiling windows. Rooms open straight out onto peaceful terraces, beautifully blurring the line between inside and outside. From these terraces, views over the ocean are clear and far-reaching.

With high ceilings and a bright, minimalistic style throughout, Villa Gauguin is a refreshing place to return to after days spent exploring paradise. Living and dining spaces are true reflections of the sea, with soothing marine shades to the soft furnishings and colourful art on the walls. The upper-floor TV room has entertainment totally covered, with a large TV, DVD, player and home theatre.

Sitting down to a meal or sinking onto a comfortable sofa always includes a healthy dose of ocean views. And the same can be said about the five bedrooms, with many looking out over the water. Others enjoy views over tranquil mangroves. The master bedroom is incredibly spacious and boasts a terrace that spans the length of the room for unbeatable scenes first thing in the morning.

The villa features a lovely interior garden, with the exterior being where the al fresco dining terrace, infinity-style pool and jacuzzi can be found. The whole area overlooks the ocean, and the calm Yal-ku Lagoon where you can swim and snorkel alongside fish and sea turtles in crystal-clear waters.
