Part of the gated Playacar Phase II area, just south of Playa del Carmen, luxurious Villa Saasil features an unusual three-tier pool. The highest level extends under its outdoor dining terrace, with a hammock hanging above to facilitate siestas. Surrounding you are teak decks and then manicured, shady gardens to ensure perfect privacy.

Saasil is a Mayan word for light, and apt for the home’s airy, light-filled spaces. These include an indoor, more formal dining room, an appliance-packed kitchen lined with granite countertops around social island seating, and the first-floor lounge, offering superb views of Playacar’s championship golf course below its arched, red brick ceiling. Every bedroom is similarly minimal in design. Each includes a bathroom boasting natural onyx sinks, while three provide a flatscreen TV. The master suite also boasts a large, walk-in closet.

Accompanying the villa are a dedicated staff – plus, should you wish, a chef. your Onefinestay concierge will gladly arrange visiting massage therapists, rounds on that golf course, cenote-swimming trips, fishing excursions or diving on Isla Cozumel. It’s a quick drive or 30-minute stroll along lush avenues to Playacar’s palm-lined sandy beach, lapped by ultra-clear waters, and then only a little further on to Playa del Carmen’s clubs and shopping street Quinta Avenida. Bicycles stand by if you’d rather pedal there. Driving to Cancun takes about 40 minutes, while Tulum’s Mayan ruins are just an hour away.
