St Barts is famous for its beaches, sweeping arcs of white sand and azure oceans. Corossol is a little different, with soft brown sand and a far more peaceful ambience. The bay is home to the traditional ‘dories’ or fishermen’s boats that can only be found here. Local restaurants specialise in the fresh catches brought in by these dories, serving everything from lobster to conch and exotic mahi-mahi, cooked in a fusion of French and Creole styles. With enchanting views across the bay, this villa is a tranquil, very private retreat that blends a perfect mix of modern and traditional island designs. The villa consists of two buildings connected by the sparkling heated pool and with wrap-around terraces. The indoor social areas connect seamlessly with the outside living spaces, allowing guests to mingle and find their own cosy corner. The turquoise décor offset with cream neutrals echoes the colour of the sky and the ocean, giving the interior an organic feel. The high-tech kitchen has a central island and every appliance you could wish for.
Thoughtfully decorated in soothing tones, the villa’s beguiling bedrooms all feature air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms. The main building houses four king-size bedrooms. Three are accessible via a staircase, and two feature private terraces for your early-morning coffee. The remaining two bedrooms are located in a separate cottage, making it just right for a family unit that would prefer a little additional privacy. The two cottage bedrooms feature a king-size bed on the main level and two twin beds in the upper bedroom.
While that deserted beach may be only a few steps away, the villa also has its own sparkling pool to tempt you into taking an early-morning dip. The terraces and covered area on the deck provide shady places to snooze the afternoon away. Time seems to slow down at Colette, allowing you to savour every second on this magical island.
