Thanks to its being situated on the ‘front row’ of ritzy Park City enclave The Oaks, Bluebird – a stylish, contemporary family chalet – spectacular faces all three local ski areas: Park City Mountain Resort, fast-expanding Canyons and, just above, Deer Valley and its marked pistes.

Those views are especially eye-catching through the living room’s picture windows. That grand space also boasts a floor-to-ceiling stone feature wall, incorporating a fireplace and television. Across the undulating, open-plan ground floor are a massive, blue-grey kitchen – its island counter designed for casual breakfasts – and two segregated dining tables. The lower level has another pair of lounges, one with cinema-style seats facing a big TV, so there’s ample space for everyone to spread out. Especially as we’ve not yet mentioned the Finnish-style wood sauna, the barbecue terrace or the multi-person outdoor hot tub. How about a glass of fizz in there?

What about the bedrooms? The massive master suite, with its slope-facing elevated bathtub, neighbours another mountain-facing bedroom on the ground floor, Then there’s a more private double room alongside two bunked rooms – sleeping eight in total – for kids. Lots of room, then, and a three-car garage also enables separate days out visiting all three of those ski resorts or Park City’s restaurant-lined Main Street. Salt Lake City’s airport is just a 35-minute drive.
