During Medieval times it was famous for its 72 towers, of which 13 remain today. Take your time to wander through its ancient streets on your own or as part of a guided tour. Artisans sell exquisite wares, and galleries are abundant with works of art by local artists. The cafés and restaurants serve delicious meals made from fresh, local ingredients, liberally sprinkled with shavings of the local white and black truffles – the region's signature flavour.
