Nestled atop a hillside in the picturesque Murlo Estate, Mariella boasts exceptional views across the rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves of Umbria. Once an ancient castle and church dating back to the 11th century, this ten-bedroom villa has been beautifully converted into an idyllic retreat for family holidays and special occasions.

Among its spacious garden and grounds is a glittering infinity pool, overlooking the surrounding valleys. A choice of beautiful terraces and sitting areas give you the option to eat, read, or simply soak up the sunshine while gazing at the bucolic countryside of central Italy.

Accommodating up to 20 guests, you’ll be amazed at just how much space there is within the villa. Combining traditional elements with contemporary appliances and furnishings, Mariella feels both elegant and authentic. Vaulted ceilings, 14th-century frescos, and marble stairs are just a few of the stunning features you’ll discover as you make your way through each room.

The ten bedrooms of Mariella are divided between the main house and an independent annexe nearby on the grounds; six rooms are in the main house and the remaining four are in the annexe. All rooms are super king-size and have luxurious marble ensuite bathrooms. The annexe even has its own cosy sitting room and kitchen.

Next to the main villa, you will find the church of Santa Maria Madalena. Whether you are intrigued by its rich history or just want to enjoy a moment of peace and quiet, you’ll find total solace inside its ancient hand-painted walls.
