With an enviable location in the idyllic Chocolate Hole on the USVI island of St John, Beach Garden Villa is an enchanting four-bedroom villa that comfortably sleeps up to eight guests. Offering panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and St Croix in the distance, this St John villa is a perfect retreat for a family who want to embrace the laid-back Caribbean lifestyle.
St John is a water sports lovers' paradise. The Trade Winds that caress the shores are ideal for windsurfing and wakeboarding, while the crystal-clear water invites you to dive in and discover an underwater world filled with coral reefs and brightly coloured fish. Your dedicated concierge can arrange for equipment hire and lessons for those still a little unsure of the finer points of windsurfing. Local restaurants serve freshly caught fish and some potent rum cocktails for an authentic taste of the Caribbean.
Designed by architect Michael Milne, Beach Garden Villa is sumptuous both inside and out. Natural elements interlinking the interior with the enchanting gardens play a vital role in the décor. The result is a villa with a relaxed, organic ambience that removes the barriers between inside and outside. The furnishings complement the décor, utilising rattan, wood and sage-green textiles. The kitchen is gourmet quality with a wealth of high-end appliances to tantalise the fussiest of chefs, and dining is either al fresco with that incredible view as your backdrop or in the refined dining room.
The villa's spacious bedrooms provide restful havens cooled by the breeze and the gentle sound of the ocean. The primary suite has a king-size bed, a private garden and deck facing the sea, and a spa-quality ensuite. The remaining three bedrooms all have king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms and continue the fusion décor theme blending natural elements throughout.
Outside, a sparkling pool with a vibrant blue-violet tile surround adds a burst of intense colour without becoming overwhelming. Sun loungers face the ocean and the villa’s elevated location ensures that you capture those legendary St John sunsets in all their glory. A short drive brings you to nearby St Cruz for boutique shopping and dining, making Beach Garden Villa the ideal hideaway for a lazy Caribbean vacation.
