Sitting on the island's north coast, Porto Rafael resort was created by the artist Raphael Neville, the Count of Berlanga de Duero. This idyllic location embraces the languid, laid-back lifestyle of a Sardinian village, but with added refinements such as fine restaurants and charming delicatessens. These elements remain today, joined by delightful boutiques and a marina where yachts bob in the sparkling water.
Villa Abyad enchants you with its sublime sophistication from the moment you step through the doors. Every aspect of this gorgeous villa is bespoke, from the furniture to the handmade tiles that add a dazzling burst of lemon yellow or ocean blue to the bathrooms and bedroom floors. The open-plan living area is bright and airy, effortlessly transitioning to the outside sun terrace and the large pool. A fully-equipped kitchen and dining area ensure guests can socialise and chat while dinner is whipped up - perhaps a local speciality like seafood Fregola with a delicious glass of Vermentino?
The villa's three bedrooms provide cool, restful oases of calm, where you are lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean and the breeze rustling the leaves of the olive trees surrounding the villa. Two spacious double bedrooms and a large, family-friendly triple bedroom provide cosy sleeping arrangements and are complemented by attractive ensuites with that distinctive bold, bright tiling. A solarium and studio complete the layout, and Villa Abyad is surrounded by lush gardens.
