London’s romantic spaces

You can find love in fashion, architecture, food, and when you explore London you’ll start to see it everywhere – in its parks, its intimate restaurants and its palaces.

Pretty in pink – soft shades can make the entrance to your home feel fresh.

Take inspiration from English landscape gardens, summer-evening strolls and impromptu picnics.

Adjoining the royal residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Will and Kate to you and me), Kensington Gardens is a suitably romantic spot.

Try afternoon tea at sketch Gallery (left), with its fantastical, high-ceilinged interior of pastel pinks for a contemporary dinner à deux. With garlands of flowers hanging overhead, Clos Maggiore (right) is more traditional –  Architectural Digest declared it the world’s most romantic restaurant.

Dainty cakes and desserts are the best – here we have Aida Mollenkamp’s Hazelnut mascarpone French toast sandwiches, ideal for sharing with someone special.

Take a look at our London homes and discover romantic spaces in the city.
