Plan a grape escape

For a fall getaway, there are few things more pleasant than a trip to one of our wine-growing destinations. Spend your days visiting beautiful vineyards, and your evenings sipping the wines they produce.

USA

The best American wines hail from Napa and Sonoma, a region especially known for its cabernet sauvignon. With over 400 wineries here, there’s much to explore. Wherever you’d like to visit, our concierge team can easily arrange wine tours – public or private – for you. This area’s onefinestay homes are as impressive as its vineyards – there’s Alexander Valley Ranch, or Kenwood Knoll, and many more.

France

Sun-drenched Provence is dotted with vineyards – its rosé wines are currently enjoying a real boom. And it’s easy to find fresh local produce to pair with them, as this region’s known for its traditional markets. For real wine buffs, we can also arrange limited-edition wine tastings at local vineyards. We have lovely homes across Provence – but Le Patio and Cézanne are our current favorites.

New Zealand

From Marlborough to Central Otago, New Zealand’s got wine hotspots aplenty, so you’ll easily find somewhere to sample its famous sauvignon blancs. Why not choose one of our Auckland homes – somewhere like Remuera Residence or Aurum – and take a boat over to Waiheke Island, where you can enjoy a wine tasting tour, then head to one of the island’s beautiful beaches.

Italy

Fall’s a great time to explore the Tuscan countryside, stopping in little villages to find local trattorias and enjoy authentic Italian food. Also worth seeking out is a glass of a real chianti classico, easily distinguished by the black rooster on the bottle. Stay in Villa Borghetto or Via delle Conce, and your personal concierge will be happy to help you explore this region’s many vineyards.
