Tanya Burr - Top Five Travel Essentials

Influencer and friend of onefinestay Tanya Burr is a keen and experienced traveller. We asked her to put together a list of the things she never leaves home without – her travel essentials. Here’s Tanya’s top five.

I’d be lost without my headphones. I always make sure I have downloaded plenty of different things before I go away. I like to have a mixture of everything: music,  new podcasts and audiobooks. It’s nice to have something to suit every mood, especially when traveling for long periods of time.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

This is an absolute must have when I go away. Flying can have such a negative impact on your skin because of the recirculating air. I swear by Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream as it’s a real multitasker. It can be used anywhere on your face and body, keeping any dry areas hydrated and comfortable.

A good book

A good book is my most comforting travel essential. When I’m heading off on a longer haul trip, being able to escape to another world for an hour or so can really help keep the boredom at bay. It’s also great to have something to get stuck into when facing the dreaded jet lag.

Portable charger

I like to document my trips whether that be on social media, or just capturing memories for friends and family, so it’s really handy to be able to charge my phone on the go. I’d recommend choosing one that’s small enough to keep in your handbag or pocket - just make sure to charge it well in advance.

I always have a pair of sunglasses in my handbag regardless of where I’m traveling to. They’re obviously a necessity if you’re going somewhere sunny, but they’re also great for concealing any signs of tiredness or jet lag.
