Although Mykonos's iconic white washed buildings with their cheery blue-domed roofs are always a delight to behold, the views are even better when savoured from the comfort of one of our breathtaking clifftop villas.
Lounge beside the sparkling infinity pool, chilled drink in hand, and admire the sparkling Aegean Sea stretching into the distance, framed by the soft white shores, ancient stone churches, vibrant bougainvillaea trees, and quaint Mykonos windmills for which the isle is famed. Here are some of our favourite spots for soaking up the very best views in Mykonos.
Perched above the sea, this heavenly hideaway is one of the largest villas on the island. Sleeping up to 18 guests and offering astonishing views from the spacious, sun-kissed deck, Villa Orizontas certainly is one of Mykonos’ most magical spots.
Cocooned within the rocky landscape of Psarou, Villa Moonlight is a sight to behold. Carved into the surrounding cliff, endless private terraces and romantic nooks open up to the natural rock formations, revealing the breathtaking views of the crystal clear waters stretching out beyond.
Offering astonishing sea views of the world-famous Psarou Beach, Villa Marina is sure to steal a little piece of your heart from the moment you arrive. Spend your days basking poolside, watching the cruise ships and sailboats bob in the harbour and the evenings sipping drinks on the deck, the sound of chatter and clinking glasses floating on the balmy evening breeze. Early in the morning, these sights are extra special - it’s worth waking up a little earlier at least once to experience them.
Boasting some of the best views on the island, here at Villa Ilios everywhere you turn you’ll be met by mesmerising shades of blue. Relax on the sun-drenched terrace or take a dip in the sparkling infinity pool - the Mykonos views are so spectacular, you’ll feel as though you’re perched on the edge of the world.
Nestled into the hillside, Villa Blue Serenity’s palatial exterior cascades down a pretty terraced slope, stretching out towards the sea below. As gorgeous as the interiors are, the focal point of the villa has to be the glittering emerald pool, from which you can enjoy endless views of the mesmerising Aegean Sea.
Here at Villa Fengari, your whole day pivots around the astonishing views. Cosy up on one of the chic poolside daybeds and admire the golden sunlight rippling across the azure blue waves. Come evening, take a soak in the stone-hewn bathtub on the terrace, admiring the sun as it sinks below the horizon, painting the sky with a palette of pink, amber and gold - easily the best view in Mykonos.
Characterised by an aura of chic simplicity, Villa Skafos is all clean lines and curved angles, whitewashed walls and natural tones. This calm background ushers your attention out through the floor-to-ceiling windows and onto the sun-warmed terrace. Upon which you can admire the villa’s real piece de resistance - the hypnotising panoramic views.
Nestled into the hillside, this gorgeous seven-bedroom villa is a vision of white, softly curved walls and sophisticated minimalist interiors. Soak up the astonishing view from Villa Omorfi's spacious sun-warmed terrace, gazing out over the bay of Tourlos and the tranquil horizon beyond.
Fall in love with Mykonos at Villa Ipanema, a gorgeous eight-bedroom retreat nestled close to the pristine sands of Mersini Beach. Brimming with Cycladic charm, you’ll find it difficult to leave the serene surroundings of this delightful villa - and with sea views this good, we can’t really blame you.
You wouldn’t believe that Villa Aries is just a short drive from the lively goings-on of the popular Super Paradise Beach. This peaceful six-bedroom villa has a delightful view of the island’s glittering coastline - you could sit and watch the sailboats pass by for hours. Be sure to make a trip to the lookout point in Mykonos Town - it’s a great photo spot with the most spectacular sea views across the glittering Aegean Sea - easily one of the most instagrammable places in Mykonos.
