Playa Hermosa is a hidden gem for the surfing community, with local surf schools to help you catch your first wave. This golden sandy beach benefits from a lifeguard station, and children can boogie board in the shallows while you sip from the cold coconuts served by beachside vendors. The natural splendour and diversity of wildlife at Uvita are not to be missed. Spot turtles, humpback whales, and dolphins from the local beaches and hike the jungle trails to Uvita waterfalls, looking out for sloths, monkeys, and colourful tropical birds.
