Ski and board in ultimate style at the prestigious Telluride Ski Resort, then savour the opportunity to ski down to your chalet at the end of the day before heading into the twinkling Mountain Village for an evening of traditional Colorado hospitality. Telluride now offers a Canopy Adventure Centre, where you can zipline, abseil and cross daring aerial bridges. If you'd prefer a quieter experience, spend a morning in this eclectic mining town, browsing the art galleries and enjoying excellent coffee and cake at one of the artisanal bakeries.

The light-filled primary living space marries traditional log-clad walls and wooden flooring with modern furnishings. Curl up, fireside, on the plush velvet sofas for a movie on the flat screen while the day's designated chef works their magic in the attractive white and charcoal granite kitchen. Dine together in the enchanting timbered enclave, where views of the Rocky Mountains make for unforgettable mealtimes. This spacious chalet benefits from a second living space and a third with a kitchenette – ideal for entertaining the little ones in your group or as breakout zones for quiet chats.

Rest well in the chalet’s five captivatingly rustic bedrooms. The primary suite, with a pretty terrace and cosy fireplace, offers a king-size bed and an attractive ensuite bathroom with a tub. Two ensuite bedrooms, with private balconies, offer a queen-size bed each, while a bathroom is shared by a fourth bedroom that houses two queen-size beds and by the bunk room. This room offers three full-over-full bunk beds.

A highlight of this chalet is the attractive dining balcony where you can fire up the BBQ and bring some Colorado steaks to the table. Each level boasts a private deck, so prepare for heart-stopping sunsets behind the Rockies as you make memories together at Happy Place at Tristant.
