Telluride is a heritage town surrounded by towering mountains and some of the region's finest natural wonders on your doorstep. From high alpine lakes to carefully-preserved nature reserves and hundreds of miles of hiking trails, the location encourages you to get out and explore. After all that exercise, the town's gourmet restaurants, comedy clubs and evening entertainment are ideal spots to unwind and relax.

Every window in the magnificent Great Room provides you with the most incredible views. Like living works of art, these vistas change every season, bringing light and life into the open-plan space. Plush furnishings make it a comfortable area where guests can socialise or find their own cosy corner to simply gaze at the view. The dining area shares a space with the bespoke kitchen with an olde-worlde complemented by contemporary appliances.

An elaborate wrought-iron staircase in the Great Room takes you to the upper level and the chalet's seven bedrooms. The primary suite has an indulgent king-size bed and private living area as well as a balcony with mountain views. Two further bedrooms have king-size beds and beguiling ensuites with showers and deep soak tubs. Guestroom three is just right for a small family group with a king-size bed, a twin bed and a trundle, while guestrooms four and five have a queen-size bed, sofa bed and a queen-size bed, respectively. The younger guests will love the bunk room, with four twins, four trundles and a sofa bed for the ultimate 'sleepover' experience. A sofa bed is also available in the common room.

Five Woods Retreat sits next to the lush greens of the local golf course, and is within easy reach of the Sunshine Express and Chondola. With a hot tub where you can watch the stars come out over the Wilson Range mountaintops and a feeling of tranquillity all around, it's the perfect place for larger families to celebrate a special occasion.
