Behind the gates of the exclusive Porta Fortuna community in Punta Mita is stylish, three-bedroom Villa Aguamarina. This family-friendly villa boasts sea views and has full access to the nearby Porta Fortuna Beach Club. And close to the club is one of the best restaurants in the area, along with some of the top golf courses.

Ocean views are on offer throughout the contemporary interior of Villa Aguamarina. A mix of Zen and Mexican styles give it a unique feel and continue the relaxation you may wish to experience at Porta Fortuna's private yoga room.

This sense of tranquillity is most keenly felt in the open-plan space with kitchen, living and dining areas. It's also where you'll find many of the villa's beautiful custom-crafted pieces. Sink into the sofa and enjoy a family movie night after a delicious evening meal.

You could also slide back the glass sliding doors and have dinner al fresco on the terrace. An outdoor kitchen with barbecue makes for casual meals, with the high-spec kitchen inside allowing foodies to let their imaginations run wild.

There's a bedroom to suit every member of the family. Two bedrooms feature a king-size bed, and the third has children entirely in mind with its two double beds and bunk bed. All have an ensuite bathroom, TV, iPod dock and doors leading outside. Two open onto a balcony terrace, with the lower-floor bedroom boasting a private patio with waterfall.

Everyone's favourite place is sure to be the swimming pool that offers unspoilt sea views. Similar views can also be soaked up from the upper-floor terrace hot tub.
