Overlooking the quaint village of Loriol, Aubignan Bleu is a striking 17th-century farmhouse with impeccable rustic decor and fantastic views of the breathtaking Provençal sunset. Five grand and well-appointed bedrooms cater to a maximum of ten guests, while the expansive gardens and outdoor pool ensure the villa is an ideal choice for families with children.

Located a little west of the imposing Mont Ventoux, Aubignan Bleu is just a ten-minute drive from the historic market town of Carpentras and 25 minutes northeast of arty Avignon. To the east, two regional natural parks ensure plenty of hiking, mountain biking and outdoor opportunities in this exceptionally charming area. To the south, the Camargue Regional Natural Park is an hour away by car and sits between the vibrant Mediterranean cities of Montpellier and Marseille.

Charming and beautifully decorated, Aubignan Bleu features five exquisite bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Three bedrooms are fitted with double beds, and the remainder with two twin beds each. The charismatic traditional kitchen is equipped with all the modern appliances you need to ensure preparing exquisite French feasts is as easy as can be - whether it's a simple truffle omelette or a complex bouillabaisse washed down with plenty of the renowned local rosé wine.

The impressive dining room includes a sizable dining table, gorgeous stone walls and a warm wooden ceiling. Comfortable seating and an ornate piano add to the elegance. The discreetly refined lounge and reading room centres on an open fireplace surrounded by sofas and armchairs, making it the ideal place to relax and unwind after dinner or play board games with the family.

Outside, the Mediterranean garden combines with a pebbled terrace area to ensure visitors can take full advantage of Provence's brilliant blue skies and excellent weather. The al fresco dining table encourages guests to linger over sun-dappled outdoor meals, while the pool enables you to cool off after a morning on one of the villa's many sun loungers. The onefinestay team in London were very helpful in getting us through the booking process (thanks Jack) and answering questions before our arrival, although some of the recommendations provided (eg for restaurants) were not very local to the property and could have been more bespoke. The property itself was fabulous!
