The perfect stay
in Cabo San Lucas
The colourful spirit of Cabo San Lucas on the Baja Peninsula is one that will soothe your soul. Once a sleepy fishing port, now it’s a vibrant community filled with artisans, exclusive restaurants, and wonderful villas. Cabo San Lucas is a place where natural wonders meet man-made marvels. The Mexican passion for life, its music, food and culture all come together in a glorious melting pot of experiences guaranteed to stay with you forever.
Cabo San Lucas is an eclectic blend of old and new. If you want to experience the real ‘Cabo’, head to San Jose del Cabo or the ‘Old Town’. This is where you’ll find the authenticity of old Mexico in its buildings and markets. Stroll along its streets and admire the colourful bunting against a backdrop of pure white houses and doorways paved with traditionally patterned tiles. The savoury scent of local specialities, such as Mexico Chocolate Clam (no chocolate, but lots of rosemary) and smoked marlin tacos, fills the air. And after dark, this town becomes one of the most exciting nightlife hotspots on the coast. For a longer road trip, head to Todos Santos, a true artist’s colony. Be sure to grab a punnet of strawberries on the way back through Elias Calles.

Best time to go
During spring: the spring months see the temperatures starting to climb between 75-85°F (23-29°C). Bear in mind that Cabo is very much a ‘Spring Break’ destination for thousands of US college students. So expect this vibrant location to be busy but buzzing with energy during the spring season.
During summer: summer is turtle season in Cabo. The region’s beaches are some of the most important breeding sites for Hawksbill, Loggerhead, Leatherback, Green Turtle and Olive Ridley turtles. You can help these magnificent creatures by taking part in one of the many turtle conservation projects up and down the coastline.
During autumn: expect some hot days in the autumn, with temperatures well into the 80s°F. This is one of the best times for diving and snorkelling as the water is around 85°F so it’s like swimming in the biggest, clearest warm bath you can possibly imagine.
During winter: there really isn’t much of a ‘winter’ in Cabo. The temperatures are still balmy, but the crowds are thinner. At this time of the year you can stroll along an empty beach and have that secret cove all to yourself, yet still feel comfortable in a t-shirt and shorts.
How to get there
Make the journey as memorable as the arrival. Your dedicated Concierge can arrange transportation from the closest airport or train station to your villa.
By plane
You’ll arrive at Los Cabos International Airport, where your dedicated concierge will arrange either private car hire or a VIP transfer to your Cabo villa. Your driver is also your tour guide, and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
By private jet
Private jets also land at Los Cabos International Airport. Some of our villas in Cabo San Lucas have landing areas for private helicopters, a truly special way to arrive at your villa and get a bird’s-eye view of the dramatic coastline at the same time.
By train
You can ask your dedicated concierge to arrange for a hire car to be waiting for you at the airport so you can take the coast road and drive to your villa. Or you can take advantage of the transfer car and have your hire vehicle delivered to your villa on arrival.

- As the ocean can be rough at times, be cautious about swimming restrictions that may apply on certain beaches. Refer to the green, yellow, and red flags that are on display.
- There's a tipping culture in Cabo San Lucas. An average tip is usually 10-20% of the total bill, depending on your experience.
