Hidden away amongst the trees and vegetation covering a cliff side on the Amalfi Coast is the magnificent Bendis. Built into the cliff face, this unique villa is practically part of the living landscape. The park of the estate it sits within provides total privacy and bursts with lemon trees scenting the air with their citrus perfume.

Designed and built by a leading Italian architect, Bendis offers contemporary accommodation with a hint of the retro throughout. A total of seven bedrooms sleeping up to 16 people are found across the main villa and an annex. There's a mix of queen-size and twin beds on offer and most enjoy an ensuite bathroom.

High vaulted ceilings in the vast open-plan area create a bright and relaxed feel. The contrasting black and white theme looks slick, with pops of colour adding personality. A comfortable sofa awaits in both the lounge and the TV room with a bar nook. There's also a dining area for indoor meals. A team of staff, including a chef and butler, make your stay feel extra special.

It's a fine line between inside and outside at Bendis. The interior flows seamlessly into the vine-covered curves of the exterior terraces, where there's a space for every occasion. Whether it's morning coffee, lunch or dinner, or unwinding on a sun lounger in the shade of a plant-draped trellis. Wherever you spend time, the sweeping sea views are the star of the show. With soaring cliff faces and a smattering of houses by the shore in nearby villages as scenic backdrops.

The gorgeous coastal town of Amalfi is just a 20-minute drive away. And the azure sea is even closer; just a short walk down a private path to the rocky shoreline. In just minutes you can be enjoying peaceful swims in paradise.
