Just a 30-minute drive from Casale Santa Lucia is the enchanting town of Monteriggioni. This incredible and historically important walled town captures the Tuscan region's true spirit, with cobbled streets, independent shops and restaurants, and dramatic and remarkably well-preserved walls that encircle the entire old town. The inspiration for poet Dante Alighieri's epic musings and surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, it's a gem of a town tucked away in the golden Tuscan countryside. Casale Santa Lucia is part of the exquisite Casali di Casole estates and is made up of a three-bedroom farmhouse and a one-bedroom guest cottage – ideal for a couple who prefer a little additional privacy. The house's classic elements have been retained and sympathetically enhanced with a soft pastel colour scheme and contemporary touches. The social spaces are warm and inviting, flooded with natural light and tranquil views of the surrounding vineyards and countryside. An original Tuscan fireplace gives the living room real character, while the dining room features a marble table. A delicate balance of warm honey-coloured wooden flooring and marble accents gives this villa a typically Italian feel.

The three bedrooms in the main villa are serene and mindfully decorated spaces. The primary suite has a European king-size bed and ensuite with a roll-top bath. A further king-size bedroom and a guest room with two queen-size beds complete the main villa layout, while the guest house has a king-size bed. The villa is fully air-conditioned to keep the summer heat at bay.

Outside, the infinity pool sparkles in the sunlight, and outdoor lounge and dining areas make al fresco meals an essential part of any stay.
