Tucked away between two of the region’s best ski runs, Glider Drive is a delightful four-bedroom chalet that welcomes up to 12 guests all year round. Every detail has been thought of, including the use of a colour palette that reflects the moods of the mountains on a crisp winter’s day. Secluded Glider Drive is the perfect spot for families or groups of friends to discover the joys of Mountain Village.

From silver mines to black runs, film festivals and gourmet food, this part of Colorado is alive with things to see and do all year round. While Mountain Village is a relatively new addition to the map, nearby Telluride is a historically significant town with deep roots in the silver mines of the Rockies. Not only are visitors invited to participate in the myriad of festivals that happen every weekend throughout the summer, but there are high-end restaurants, local breweries and distilleries to discover. Nothing can quite compare to the towering majesty of the Rockies themselves, though, inviting you to strap on your skis, grab your bicycle or lace up your hiking boots and explore the Great Outdoors.

Glider Drive puts guests within walking distance of all of these natural wonders and provides a warm, welcoming and relaxing retreat to return to at the end of the day. The Great Room has cathedral-like proportions, with soaring ceilings and vast picture windows that bring the outdoors in as a living work of art. An impressive kitchen is the heart of this chalet, with ample space for socialising and casual breakfasts grabbed before a day's skiing or snowboarding. Formal evening meals are served in the intimate dining area with seating for eight guests. The four bedrooms are individually designed and decorated to create soothing oases where the soft mountain light gently wakes you in the morning. The impressive master suite has a king-size bed, a private balcony, and a sublimely appointed ensuite. The second suite on this level also has a king-size bed and private sitting area. The two remaining bedrooms are on the main level, offering a queen-size bed and a split-king that can be altered to two twin beds.

Down in the lower level, you’ll find a games room and extra living area for more chilled-out evenings with the children. Two full-size day beds with twin trundles provide extra sleeping space, turning this lower living area into an excellent den for younger guests. Outside, the glorious mountain backdrop is yours to enjoy from the two outdoor living spaces, including al fresco dining, BBQ and a hot tub. With so much to offer, Glider Drive certainly lives up to its name – a little mountain haven retreat at any time of the year.
