The characterful interior is decorated with artworks and furnishings from all over the globe, from the Moroccan antique door in the master room and rugs in the living area, to the Indonesian bedroom furniture. This seamless blend of various cultural influences results in a one-of-a-kind home that you won’t find anywhere else on the island.

In keeping with the unique elegance of the interior, the outdoor space features a multi-tiered stone terrace and a gorgeous curved pool fringed with palms and plants. Lie back on a sun lounger and take in the beautiful views with an ice-cold beverage in hand. If you’re after a little extra relaxation, slide into the hot tub which is connected to the pool, and close your eyes to the gentle tune of trees rustling in the tradewinds.

The living and dining area is majestically laid out with warm terracotta tones, dark wood furnishings, lanterns and hanging lights. Sink into the comfortable sofa for a chat with your loved ones, before gathering around the dining table to tuck into a delicious home-cooked meal. If you’d rather dine in the fresh air, enjoy a meal al fresco by the pool, or in the charming vine-covered courtyard by the circular drive. The kitchen is located on the east side of the home and has been designed in the style of a French countryside kitchen. Under a high vaulted ceiling lies well-equipped amenities, charming copper touches and a handy breakfast bar.

There are four gorgeous bedrooms at Hakuna Matata, which have been carefully decorated in either a jungle safari or Peter Pan-inspired style. All feature ensuite bathrooms with outdoor showers and are accessed through the exterior. Two have king-sized beds, while the others have two twins that can be made up as kings, making it perfect for families and large groups alike.

Whether you’re after a beachside day trip or a meal in a local restaurant, Hakuna Matata is just minutes away by car from Cinnamon Bay and a 10-minute drive from Trunk Bay and Maho Bay.
