Named after the Tuscan farmer and his family who once inhabited the villa, Maramai is a beautiful authentic stone dwelling, nestled into the luscious landscape of Montepulciano. A turquoise swimming pool sparkles in an abundance of sunshine, with sumptuous sun loungers awaiting - the perfect spot for reading your book or sipping on a cooling cocktail. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens with pristine lawns and vibrant flowers, enjoy complete serenity at this beautiful home.

Traditional Tuscan architecture is prominent throughout the villa, with arched ceilings and wooden beams soaring above. An open plan sitting room features stunning rustic interiors, with furniture from Brazil, Mexico and India, and an impressive fireplace. A light and airy kitchen is a cook’s dream, with a generous dining table just perfect for casual lunches. Whilst double doors and pale green wooden shutters lead to a breathtaking al fresco terrace overlooking the garden. Out in the lovely grounds, enjoy lazy long dinners around the remarkable stone table which rests under a vine entwined pergola, watching as the sun gently sets and the sky turns dusty pink.

Five elegant bedrooms have been decorated with pastel colours and eye-catching wallpapers, with contemporary bathrooms. There are two king bedrooms, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom, and a separate annexe with an additional sofa bed if needed - perfect for families with children or a group of close friends.

In the heart of the Montepulciano wine region, Maramai is surrounded by outstanding local vineyards - a must-visit while in the area. Wander through the picturesque streets of the city and admire the magnificent centre which bursts with history, wine shops and local restaurants.

    • City tax: upon arrival, your greeter will ask for the city tax of €2 per person per night, payable in cash. Children below the age of 12 years are exempt.
    • Air conditioning: The rent includes 200 kWh for A/C. The meter will be checked upon arrival and departure. The excess kWh will be billed at cost and must be paid in cash on departure day.
    • Heating: The cost of central heating is calculated according to use. Please be aware that central heating is expensive. Heating must be paid in cash on departure day.
