The curving arms of Marsh Mellow reach out towards the Caribbean Sea, seeming to both enfold you into its embrace and usher you out to explore the dazzling views ahead. Inspired by Roman and Italian architecture, and shaped in an elegant crescent, this refined and airy villa embraces light and splendour in perfect proportion.

Perched upon a ridge overlooking the West Coast of Barbados, the villa is just four minutes from Fairmont Royal Beach and ten minutes from historic Speightstown. The panoramic ocean views from every room, and artistic sentiment that has gone into the design, makes it well worth the 36-minute drive from the airport. In true Roman style, the home’s entranceway opens up into a grand atrium which overlooks the immaculate private garden, in the centre of which a beautiful fountain plays out a soothing susurration. Beyond lies the infinity pool which seems to meld seamlessly into the sea and the entire courtyard is framed by ivy-wound Italian columns and soaring arches.

All four bedrooms are ensuite and have direct access to the garden and pool deck. The master bedroom has its own personal terrace as well as walk-in closet and three of the rooms have glorious open-air showers. With an open-air dining room and indoor garden, this is a house that really seems to breathe in the sea air and open itself up to the views of both ocean and stars.
