Gustavia - the island's capital - has a distinctive, vibrant energy; it's easy to spend hours wandering through the cobblestone streets, where tropical flowers drape across doorways, and the characteristic red rooftops bring an infectious cheer. Partake in high-end retail therapy at the town's shopping malls before heading up the hill to explore the colonial Fort Gustav to taste St Barts' colonial past. Away from the city, the ocean offers a wealth of entertainment opportunities - charter a yacht to explore the dramatic coastline and snorkel off the boat, or head to one of the island's secluded coves to enjoy a languid picnic. With a rich social and cultural calendar year-round, the island boasts festivals, carnivals and events to thrill and entice visitors, including the famous St Barts Film festival.
Up to six guests can be accommodated in Poppy across three generous, light-filled bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities. The first bedroom, situated in a separate bungalow, features a king-size bed and access to a delightful private garden terrace with a picturesque view of Marigot Bay. The second and third bedrooms each have a king-size bed and open onto a private terrace with direct access to the heated pool. When it comes to mealtimes tour designated chef can cook up a storm in the charming modern kitchen or out on the super-sized outdoor grill - why not pop down to the local seafood markets for some freshly caught mahi mahi? Come together at mealtimes to share the feast al fresco, get those ubiquitous rum cocktails flowing and spend quality time together as you recount the day's adventures.
