Solara is a contemporary dream, imposingly placed by a beautiful lake in one of the Dominican Republic's most desirable locations. This modish villa welcomes up to 16 guests to a quiet enclave within the prestigious Punta Cana Resort. This is a golfer's paradise - the villa lies just a two-minute golf cart drive from La Cana, one of the resort's two internationally respected golf courses. While the golfers tee off on the green, the neighbouring Six Senses Spa is ready to lavish attention upon aching muscles and fatigued skin. The most blissful beach days await, with kite surfing and scuba diving for the adventurers and elegant beach bars for those who prefer to keep their toes in the sand.

A modern oasis, Solara's main living space features a soaring ceiling and floods of natural light. Guests can curl up on the plush sofa or soak up the sun in one of the outdoor lounging areas. Enjoy a movie night in the cosy media room, or perhaps you'd prefer to head to the villa's fitness studio for a training session? A handsome white and granite kitchen invites fun group cooking sessions at the seated island, or why not rustle up a feast in the al fresco kitchen - locally caught mahi mahi or tuna is a must. There are flexible dining options, with an airy formal dining room or poolside tables.

The villa's seven spacious ensuite bedrooms have been intelligently designed to nurture rejuvenating rest. The delicate colour scheme is complemented by ethnic wall hangings from all corners of the globe. Four of these peaceful bedrooms house a king-size bed, and the last three bedrooms have two queen-size beds apiece. The enticing ensuites offer refreshing waterfall showers and indulgent deep tubs for leisurely soaks.

The outdoor spaces at Solara are exquisite, with deliciously deep day beds and sun loungers and plenty of attractive spots to relax with your friends for a sundowner. Perch at the pool bar or swim across to watch the sunset reflected in the calm waters of the lake – vacations really don't get better than this.
