With its fascinating history, intricate, frescoed walls and elegant furnishings, Villa Elenka represents 400 years of Tuscan history and makes for an exceptional holiday destination. Built in 1624, the villa was used as a summer residence by Count Cosimo Bernardini, a member of one of the most powerful Lucchesi families of the last half a millennia, and retains all the hallmarks of its proud, opulent heritage. Exquisite fittings, an array of antiques and expansive grounds transport guests back in time to the height of Italian influence.

Situated in Coselli, a small village at the foot of Monte Pisano, Villa Elenka is just a few minutes from Lucca's enchanting city centre. Further afield, the Renaissance powerhouse of Florence awaits and Siena's majestic Duomo cathedral begs to be explored. The pristine natural environment surrounding the property is also home to a wide array of activities. With a local golf and tennis club, thermal baths, a horse-riding centre and plenty of hiking trails available, you'll never lack for exciting excursions.

Featuring seven double bedrooms spread across two floors, Villa Elenka can sleep up to 14 guests. All bedrooms are equipped with ensuite bathrooms, many of which have been finished with stunning frescos on the walls. As well as a spacious living room with sofa seating and a TV, the villa benefits from a range of unique socialising spaces. The gorgeous music room contains a grand piano and overlooks the pond, while the cellar includes an authentic wood-burning pizza oven, foosball table, sofas and a collection of board games. The traditional farmhouse kitchen is supplemented by a smaller kitchenette - ideal for preparing afternoon cocktails and aperitivi. Finally, the villa also boasts an enticing jacuzzi bathtub.

Outside, Villa Elenka's sprawling parkland encompasses a private pool that's ringed by sun loungers, a lake and ponds, and an array of romantic hidden nooks that encourage exploration. Two large al fresco dining areas allow for mouthwatering Tuscan feasts, while the delightful jasmine gazebo is the ideal place to escape into your holiday read. Impeccably furnished, encircled by tranquil parkland and superbly positioned to take advantage of the region's most famous sites and cities, Villa Elenka is a one-of-a-kind holiday destination.
