Just over two miles away is the white sand expanse of Minitas Beach, the perfect spot to discover a new-found passion for paddle boarding and kayaking. Golfers will be in heaven teeing off on pristine greens at the world-class championship golf courses. Or perhaps a sunset gallop along the beach on horseback is something you’ve dreamed of doing? As you’re just under three miles from the island’s equestrian centre, you can make that dream a reality.

After exploring the delights of the Dominican Republic, it’s back to the cool interior of this spacious villa. Utilising traditional building techniques and a delightful juxtaposition of materials, the balance of indoor/outdoor living is typically Caribbean. Pierced wooden doors allow the air to flow naturally through the marble-floored living space, while the vaulted wooden ceiling and striking columns make you feel as if you’ve stepped into a Roman villa. The furnishings are plush and just right for sinking into at the end of the day. The kitchen is gourmet standard and the dining area makes the most of the transitional spaces for that al fresco experience. Two of the six opulent bedrooms offer king-size beds while the remaining four all have two full size beds each. Ensuite bathrooms make copious use of marble, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in each bedroom open out fully so you can enjoy that morning coffee on the terrace.

Outside, a large pool is the ideal spot to cool down, and a heated jacuzzi is guaranteed to ease tired muscles after that horseback ride or round of golf.     • Please note a registration fee is required for guests staying in rented private villas in order to gain access to Casa de Campo and the use of the resort’s facilities. The resort registration fee is subject to change and paid directly to CDC. Each person, when registered, will receive a Casa de Campo ID card, which will detail the guest's dates of stay. The ID card will grant the individual named on the card access to the resort, as well as the use of various facilities. For complete fees and details please inquire with your agent.
