This private retreat gives you all the peace you want but within easy reach of a host of activities, including championship golf courses, horseback riding and tennis. With incredible views and a glorious beachfront location, Villa Miramar is your own little slice of heaven.

La Romana is one of those tucked-away locations that feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of civilisation but is just a short drive from exclusive restaurants, boutique shopping, and a wealth of entertainment options. Golfers will love the challenge of the infamous Teeth of the Dog golf course or brush up on your shooting or tennis skills with private lessons at the resort's centres. A trip to The Marina lets you discover the delights of the eclectic Dominican cuisine influenced by so many different cultures. Look out for tasty tostones, deep-fried plantain eaten as a snack, or mangú, a delicious, African-influenced dish.

Villa Miramar has a bold, modern feel with an open-plan design that flows effortlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces. However, that contemporary design is balanced with authentic island touches, from the bespoke artwork to the high vaulted ceilings. Colour pops bring the living space to life, while the kitchen is fitted out for even the most demanding of chefs. The dining space is refined and intimate, and the villa's bedrooms are oases of calm. Two of the five bedrooms feature king-size beds, two more have two full-size beds each, and the final bedroom has two twin beds. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom.

Outside, a heated infinity pool, covered cabana and outside gazebo provide you with plenty of spaces to relax. The private beach is just a few short steps away, the perfect spot for a soul-cleansing early-morning yoga session or wild swim.
