One of the lake’s most beautiful villages, it retains its authenticity and character, where traditional fishing boats sit alongside sleek yachts in the harbour, and the village’s streets wind their way up the steep cliffs. Ask your dedicated concierge to arrange boat hire for a trip to Isola Comacina or hop on the ferry for a leisurely trip over to Lake Como’s only island.

The aspects from every window at Villa Panorama Comacina capture the majesty of the surroundings and turn them into living art. The social areas are open plan, lavishly decorated with real Italian marble and contemporary yet plush furnishings. Two kitchens fitted with professional standard appliances allow your personal chef to introduce you to the delicious cuisine of northern Italy, while dining is formal indoors or informal al fresco. Five bedrooms offer serene comfort, with every element mindfully composed to create soothing, restful spaces. The king-size beds are sumptuously cosy, three of which can be converted into twins on request. Attractive ensuite bathrooms with showers complete the interior, exquisitely finished to spa standards with high-end fixtures and fittings.

Outside, a heated infinity pool sparkles in the sunshine, and a heated six-seater hot tub is the perfect place to watch the stars come out as night falls.     • The villa is spread across three floors without elevators and therefore may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
