Water sports opportunities abound, from kayaking and paddle boarding at the local, sheltered coves to surfing and catamaran trips around the gorgeous tropical coastline. The local rainforests are full of hidden treasures, from bubbling hot springs to fascinating wildlife like coatis and monkeys, which you can spot on guided nature tours.

Villa Paradise feels like home, with a collection of welcoming living spaces warmed by wooden floors and panelling and enhanced by beautiful artisanal decorative accents. These spaces open onto pretty al fresco terraces, allowing guests to come and go as they please. A true heart of the home, the majestic kitchen boasts earthy terracotta tiles and traditional earthenware, making it the perfect place to rustle up hearty Costa Rican fare like the rice and bean dish gallo pinto and moreish empanadas. There’s a lovely formal dining room where guests can share a meal, with al fresco opportunities on the covered terrace.

The villa’s seven ensuite bedrooms offer a blissful hideaway with exquisite and sumptuously dressed beds, honey-hued wooden accents, and decadent spa-style bathrooms. Six of the bedrooms house a king-size bed, and the final room, which is ideal for children and teenagers in the group, features five queen-size beds in a bunk bed arrangement, with three upper and two lower beds. This room benefits from a comfortable seating area where the children can have fun together before bed.

A curvaceous, glittering pool sits at the centre of the verdant outdoor space, flanked by a charming pergola and a furnished sun deck. Throw some local seafood on the BBQ, indulge in a local rum, and spend a sublimely slow evening overlooking the Pacific at the aptly named Villa Paradise.
