Take a scenic drive to one of the region's headily scented lavender fields or treat your group to wine tasting at a nearby château.

The spaces at La Maison de l’Architecte et du Tapissier are brimming with intriguing contrasts. In the light-filled living room, local stone and period features sit alongside lively geometric artwork and furniture, with shard mirrors adding drama and depth. Exposed stone walls set the tone in the kitchen, creating a homely space to whip hearty dishes, from daube Provençale, a beef stew rich with red wine, to unctuous tarte Tropezienne. Serve supper at the grand sculptural dining table, adding a sense of occasion by lighting the chic candelabra.

Ascend the grand staircase to four exquisite ensuite bedrooms. Each has a king-size bed, and three benefit from a plush seating area.
