Best time to go

  • During spring: with an average temperature of around 18°C (65°F) in April and May, spring in the Balearic Islands is a magical time. Vacation rentals, apartments and villas in Ibiza are plentiful, and the sea temperature is also warming up. The almond blossom is in full bloom, as are the wild poppy fields. This is the time to explore places such as the UNESCO World Heritage town of Dalt Vila.

  • During summer: temperatures soar to around 30°C (86°F) on the island, but don’t worry because this is one of the best times of the year for snorkelling and diving. Or take this opportunity to enjoy the breeze on a boat trip over to the charming and tranquil island of Formentera.

  • During autumn: Ibiza starts to return to its more languid, laid-back self as the autumn months begin. The weather is still a balmy 24°C (75°F), but with thinner crowds, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore the island’s natural beauty at Ses Salines National Park.

  • During winter: it’s just you and the locals during the winter, but winter is carnival season and you’ll be able to join in the fun at the annual carnivals in Ibiza Town, Santa Eulària and San Antonio. The weather’s cooler, but this is a sunshine island so any showers are very brief before the clouds part and the sun comes out again.

Local tips

  • One very important thing here in Ibiza is that it’s crucial to tip your drivers, boat crews, bathroom attendants or waiting staff. A tip is always appreciated. These people are the core of your experience and are happy to go that extra mile to make sure your holiday in our villas in Ibiza is one to remember.
  • Given the condition of the access roads on the island, we recommend you rent a jeep Wrangler or an SUV rather than luxury sports cars or scooters. SUVs are more convenient for Ibiza’s roads.
