During spring: quiet beaches, flourishing flower meadows, and some seriously star-studded events makes spring a sublime time to book a villain the French Riviera. Temperatures tend to sit comfortably in the late teens °C (60s℉), and there are heaps of exciting things on the calendar — from the Cannes Film Festival to the Monaco Grand Prix.
During summer: there’s no better time to enjoy the French Riviera’s blissful beaches than the balmy summer months. Hot, dry weather makes daily swims a necessity, while there are plenty of music festivals and lively national celebrations (such as Bastille Day) to add to your diary. By September, the summer rush has ended, yet daytime temperatures still sit sublimely around 25°C (77℉).
During autumn: cooler climes and the odd rainy day make autumn a brilliant season for exploring the French Riviera’s remarkable cities and towns. Layer up for long walks along the scenic Cap D’Antibes coastal path or get into the festive spirit with a wander around the region’s Christmas markets, which typically appear in late November.
During winter: while January tends to be sleepy after the festive rush, there are several events to look forward to in February and March. Majestic Menton, with its medieval old town, hosts its annual Lemon Festival, while Nice comes alive with Carnaval. You could also combine your French Riviera villa stay with a ski adventure in Isola 2000, which is less than two hours away by road from Nice.
Make the journey as memorable as the arrival. Your dedicated concierge can arrange transportation from the closest airport or train station to your French Riviera villa.
