Best time to go

  • During spring: this season is one of the best times to book a vacation home in LA, as the summer heat hasn’t yet hit. Temperatures range between 50-72°F (a chilly 10°C to around 22°C). From the Irish festival in March to the LA Marathon and quirky ‘Renaissance Faires’ every weekend through April and May, there’s plenty of family fun on offer throughout this period.

  • During summer: a feature of the summer in LA is the ‘June Gloom’. It’s not as bad as it sounds, just a blanket of fog caused by a combination of high water evaporation and the climbing temperatures. Beach house rentals in Los Angeles’ chic Venice Beach or the ultra-trendy Manhattan Beach are the best places to escape the crowds and cool off. If you’re here in July, look out for some serious Independence Day celebrations.
