Benchmark Drive is an utterly charming four-bedroom chalet in a prime location. With elegant interiors and breathtakingly beautiful exteriors, this superb example of mountain architecture is a warm and comfortable retreat for up to 13 guests. Sublime views of San Sophia Ridge and the glistening peaks of the Rockies wrap this exquisite hideaway in awe-inspiring beauty on all sides.

Mountain Village is a buzzing, vibrant little community that provides visitors with a base for exploring the high-alpine trails and valley floors of this part of Colorado. During the spring, it’s time to put the skis away and break out the mountain bikes, with family-friendly cycle paths and trails through wildflower meadows. Summer sees the Mountain Village Golf course invite players to test their skills on the greens. Gastronomes will adore the restaurants both here and in nearby Telluride, where summer food and drink festivals celebrate the finest regional cuisine and locally-produced bourbon.

From the grand entrance to the even more lavish Great Room, Benchmark Drive is all about refined opulence. This show-stopping chalet embraces the beauty of natural elements throughout, such as the exposed timber beams in the vaulted ceilings to the signature stone fire surrounds and cathedral-like windows. Personal touches such as the guitars on the walls encourage guests to enjoy themselves with some après ski music sessions. The dining area is large enough for up to ten guests, while the custom-made kitchen has two ovens and a gas range for the most demanding of chefs.

The bedrooms capture a sense of tranquillity with colours that echo the moods of the mountain peaks. The dazzling master suite covers the entire third floor with a king-size bed, spa-standard ensuite and a private deck for watching the sunset. A level down, a bunk room provides two queen-over-queen bunks for the children, and a separate guest bedroom with a snuggly queen-size bed adds to the sleeping arrangements. A separate apartment section offers a little extra privacy for guests. With a twin bed and a twin trundle, this adorable apartment also features a small kitchen, ensuite bathroom, dining space and a private deck.

Positioned in a desirable slope-side location, Benchmark Drive offers winter sports lovers ski-in-ski-out access to the slopes. The still waters of Elk Pond are just a few steps away, encouraging you to pick up one of the complimentary fishing poles and see if the trout are biting. What a serene way to end a perfect day in the Great Outdoors.
