This striking home in the Latin Quarter is spread over three floors. The front door’s on the first floor, and leads into the open-plan living area, where the smart monochrome kitchen is straight ahead. To the right is a sitting area, dazzlingly white but cosily furnished, with a plush corner sofa, well-stocked bookshelves and a piano. To the left there’s a glass-roofed dining area and (just beyond its contemporary table and orange chairs) a secluded terrace.

The sitting room’s sleek staircase takes you up to the next floor – the kids’ quarters – where you’ll find two pastel-painted bedrooms, a toilet room and a compact bathroom. Above that is the master bedroom, which has pure white walls, honey-toned wood furnishings and a slate-tiled ensuite. You’ll also find a second terrace here, a private spot with a little lawn is a charming place to sit outdoors, right in the city’s heart.

The property was everything as promised and above the standard for other rental properties. We were met at check in, given instructions, had local support during the stay, and were able to just leave the keys and walk away when it was all done.

    • There are stairs up to the entrance of this home, and no elevator.
    • This home is split over two floors. The stairs do not have a bannister.
    • Please note that the heating will be on only between mid-October and May, in line with ecological and environmental practices aimed at limiting energy consumption and reducing our carbon footprint.
    • There's air-conditioning in the sitting room and in the kitchen only. Please let us know if you would like fans for your stay.
    • There is no hanging space in the third bedroom, so we will set up a hanging rail for your stay.
    • One loveable dog live at this home. He won't be around during your stay, but this home may not be suitable for people with allergies.
    • Please note that the window blinds/coverings do not block out the daylight in this home.
