This exquisite two-bedroomed London home is in the centre of London's creative heart. Welcoming up to four guests, John's Mews is a light, bright, and tranquil retreat in Holborn, close to the fashionable neighbourhood of Clerkenwell to the north and Covent Garden to the south. With a contemporary interior that’s distinctly design-led, John’s Mews is an inspiring home filled with personal touches.
This area of London is steeped in history. Wander down Clerkenwell Road, and you'll discover map shops that have been there for centuries, horologists selling exquisite clocks and barometers, and even dedicated telescope shops – not to mention the delights of the British Museum. However, like much of the capital, Holborn is constantly evolving, and today is also home to Michelin-starred restaurants, the charms of Exmouth Market, wine bars, boutiques and galleries. Spend an afternoon browsing the iconic Jewellery Quarter of Hatton Garden, or while away the evening at the opera at Covent Garden. From churches that survived the Great Fire of London in 1666 to the most modern apartments and chic cafés, Holborn is home to some of London's best-kept secrets.
Located on the second floor of an exclusive residential block, you walk into an open-plan layout where the living space is refined and filled with a unique display of framed theatre programmes. Plush furnishings and a large flat-screened TV are perfectly positioned for cosy movie nights. We had a wonderful holiday in London thanks in large part to onefinestay. Not only was the apartment we rented tastefully decorated and quite comfortable, but the team really stepped up to make the stay perfect. The weekly housekeeping was very nice. Also, when we checked in, the team sent over extra coat hangers so that we could hang-up all the clothes we needed for a month's stay. That is the kind of extra touch other companies do not provide. I would like to add that the Soho Food Tour the team arranged for us was fabulous. Not only was the tour very interesting, the guide managed to get us reservations for a Sunday Roast meal that a restaurant that is typically booked eight weeks out. Again, well above and beyond industry standards.

The onefinestay concierge team is always on top of things, and has everything ready for us. They're responsive to our needs and requests, and we prefer to use them for our longer term stays, especially in London!

The location of the apartment was ideal for getting around in a lovely quiet area. The nearest tube was easy to get to and the choice of food shops were again very close. There was also a super pub (The Lady Ottoline) very close.

- This home is not suitable for children under 10, but babies are more than welcome. If required we can provide you with a cot.
- This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.
- The WiFi signal is weaker in rooms furthest from the router, which is located in the sitting room.
