Bright and airy with lots of natural light, Red Lion Square defies its basement location thanks to the skylights in its sitting room and, more surprisingly, a delightful open-air, plant-filled courtyard, which anchors the home and is accessible from both the master bedroom and the sitting room.
The clean-lined and minimal aesthetic of simple furnishings in a neutral palette is given a healthy dose of character by the London-centric theme running through the home, which includes tube maps and signs and vibrant local artwork.
Spread over a single level, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms - one ensuite - making this the perfect retreat for a small family, group of friends or even a solo business traveller. Located on a leafy square in the heart of Holborn, the delights of Covent Garden and the city's West End are but a short walk away.

Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed the lovely Red Lion Square flat. It was well-appointed, very clean, and was much more enjoyable than squeezing into a hotel room at the same price point. My 12yo was thrilled to have his own room, rather than sharing a hotel room with parents. We are frequent visitors to London and would absolutely stay there again. I now want heated bathroom floors in my own home! The location was incredibly convenient for navigating the city: a 2 minute walk to bus stops and a quick 5 minute walk to the tube station. Covent Garden is an easy 10 minute walk away and restaurants abound in every direction. onefinestay made the check-in process painless, and while we had no issues at all while staying in the flat, it was nice to know that their staff was available to help if needed. We hope to return soon!

We enjoyed our stay very much! Simon and the team were incredibly helpful in making arrangements for us - everything from the welcome goodies to stocking the refrigerator to dinner reservations to tours and airport transfers. We didn't need to worry about any detail. Also most importantly the flat was well located, quiet and impeccable. No detail was ignored! It was the perfect stay and start to our vacation.

- This home doesn't have air-conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.
- This home is on the lower ground floor.
- There are stairs down to the entrance of this home, and no elevator.
- Please note that the towel rails in both bathrooms are not connected to the heating but both bathroom floors are heated instead.
- Being conveniently and centrally placed in the heart of London, some noise can be heard in the home from the Elizabeth Line below.
