With spectacular views across the Lorient Bay and the surrounding islands, Sakura is a four-bedroom hideaway in St Barts that welcomes up to eight guests. The perfect opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the villa takes its cue from the natural beauty surrounding it. From the secret privacy areas to the panoramic views, Sakura is a chance to experience a slower, more relaxed pace of life on one of the prettiest islands in the Caribbean.
The Pointe Milou area of St Barts is filled with wandering lanes that take you through lush forests and down to the coast. There, you’ll discover countless beaches where the warm water laps against pristine white sand – the ultimate Caribbean dream. Along the way, you'll find small restaurants and even roadside shacks selling delicious Creole food that's exclusive to the island. Fresh seafood dominates the island's cuisine, and when it's in season, the lobster easily rivals anything New England can produce. Wash it all down with an ice-cold beer or one of the local Ti'punch rum cocktails if you're feeling brave.
Sakura uses contemporary design motifs and blends them seamlessly with typical St Barts architectural concepts. The large living room opens onto the terrace, capturing that indoor/outdoor flow. The use of blonde wood and whitewash throughout creates a cooler, more comfortable environment. The dining area and modern kitchen are the ideal spots for some culinary experiments with local, fresh ingredients. There are four serene bedrooms, two on the lower level and two on the same level as the living area. All four bedrooms have king-size beds, ensuite bathrooms, and terraces where you can enjoy that early-morning coffee.
The laid-back atmosphere continues outside with a large sun terrace that has a heated pool at its heart. Sun loungers surround the pool and a gas BBQ provides further al fresco dining opportunities to try some local hot sauce on freshly grilled chicken wings. As the sun sets, break out the cocktails and watch the sky fill with stars over your tropical island paradise.
