Villa Serenidad sits on a hillside above the southern shores of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, where the Sierra de la Laguna meets the Sea of Cortez. This landscape of rolling hills and azure-blue waters is an idyllic spot in which to experience the very best of coastal Mexico.

Inside the villa, the Spanish colonial design, dark timbers and stylish furnishings combine to offer an elegant home away from home. Contemporary art bedecks the walls, and the muted colour tones let the location do the talking. Even at full capacity, the open-plan Villa Serenidad offers plenty of room for everyone. Outside in the grounds, native plants and flowers bloom in the warm Mexican sunshine.

Guests at the Villa Serenidad are welcome at the neighbouring One & Only Palmilla and the Palmilla Dunes Club. Here, facilities at your disposal include restaurants, bars and a golf course, plus a children’s pool and playgrounds ­– ideal for families with little ones in tow. The nearest town is only a ten-minute drive away, and the airport lies 20 minutes from the villa.

Villa Serenidad accommodates a total of 12 guests across six ensuite bedrooms. The master bedroom and bedroom two both offer king-size beds, while bedrooms three, four and five each offer queen-size beds. Lastly, the guest casita room is home to a king-size bed.

Highlights in the villa include the infinity pool and surrounding fire pits, where guests can cool off with a dip or enjoy an al fresco drink in the evenings. There’s also a bubbling jacuzzi, the ideal spot for a refreshing cocktail. With a dedicated chef and butler on hand throughout your stay, the emphasis is really on complete relaxation.

Villa Serenidad looks out over the Sea of Cortez, and the scenery is spectacular. As the sun sets over the Baja Peninsula and the flames of the fire pits dance in the dusk, take a seat with a drink in hand and soak up the spectacular coastal views.
